#KIRAriskDD multi-stakeholder initiative leadership: The project aimed to develop a method enabling companies in the construction value chain to manage, in an effective and prioritised manner, the most significant environmental and human rights risks associated with raw materials used in building and HVAC products, while taking into account the evolving requirements of the CSDDD, including the changes proposed under the Omnibus I package, as well as voluntary commitments (#UNGP, #OECD_MNE).
During the winter of 2025–2026, the project moved into a pilot phase involving developers, construction companies, and companies in the building products industry. In this phase, four pilots examined questions submitted to so-called control point companies to assess the potential adverse impacts of distant supply chains on nature and people. The first pilot series focused on low-carbon precast concrete and concrete elements, low-carbon steel frame structures, gypsum board for lightweight partition walls, and timber roof elements. The project was completed in the first quarter of 2026.

The initiative for a common information architecture for sustainability reporting in the Finnish real estate sector in accordance with ESRS and in cooperation with Rakli, FIGBC and KTI: over 20 Finnish property investors, owners and stakeholder parties have decided to join the initiative.
- The implementation of the initiative is designed to be shared into two projects: 1) ESRS 1&2 (general information and requirements), S and G; and 2) environment E1-5 as a whole, in both of which a joint view of property owners is sought for the most demanding sustainability disclosure requirements (DRs), taking into account IRO, SBM, GOV, MT and XBRL taxonomy's tags. The results of both projects are separate but connectable information architecture models.
